After just relocating to its new state-of-the-art headquarters, Inter/Media® is taking further steps to advance the company by adding Gavin Ballas as its new Vice President of Marketing and Sales.
Ballas, most recently V.P. Business Development at Integrated Media Solutions LLC, comes to the $500-million advertising, media, marketing, entertainment and communications organization with a proven track record in revenue generation.
While at Integrated Media Solutions, he led new business initiatives, hauling in accounts worth more than $80 million in annual billing. He also created a suite of performance-based media products that resulted in agency accounts exceeding $30 million a year.
Previously, Ballas was at Spot Runner Inc., as Sales Manager, National Marketing Services from 2007-2009. While at the innovative start-up, his team's national efforts accounted for nearly 70% of overall company revenue. He launched the Spot Direct service, which resulted in more than $10 million in new DRTV sales.
Prior to his role at Spot Runner, Ballas was a sales executive at CBS and ABC Radio, selling advertising on programming as diverse as The Howard Stern Show and Radio Disney. His career also includes a stint as a Media Buyer at Ronco Inventions, LLC. He holds an MBA from USC’s Marshall School of Business and a Bachelors of Science in Radio-TV-Film from the University of Texas at Austin.
At Inter/Media, Ballas will be responsible for leading new business, marketing and overall positioning of Inter/Media and its associated companies.
“Gavin is a significant addition to our growing executive suite,” said Robert Yallen, CEO of The Inter/Media Group of Companies. ”He has proven to have a masterful ability to generate new business, as well as new lines of business--and has the vision to help us continue to expand our growth at the next level. We are delighted to be able to call upon his expertise in DR, retail and brand advertising account development to add to our already formidable team.”
Ballas is looking forward to his new role. "Mr. Yallen expressed some lofty expectations for Inter/Media over the next several years," he said. "That an agency with stable leadership and a 40-year track record has such aggressive goals is precisely why I am so pleased to take on this role. As VP Marketing and Sales, I hope to expand on the success I had at IMS and take advantage of the even wider array of services Inter/Media can provide its clients."
