Innocean Worldwide Canada Expands Ranks in Toronto and Montreal

The full-service advertising agency added five to its staff including two account directors

Innocean Worldwide Canada is pleased to announce five new hires in recent months across both its Toronto and Montreal offices. Among the hires, two account directors have been named on the Kia Canada Inc. account, Julie Van de Weghe and Katie Gallagher.

Julie is the agency’s account director in the advertising agency’s Montreal office. Stepping into the position, she will assist in continuing to elevate the Kia brand in the Québec market. This will include deepening the brand’s relationship with Québec spokesperson and French-Canadian actress, Melissa Désormeaux-Poulin. Julie joins the agency with over 15 years of experience in marketing and communications with a focus on executing digital and traditional 360 marketing strategies. Over the course of her career, Julie has worked with several clients and industries. Most recently she worked at Taxelco on the relaunch of Téo Taxi in Québec. Julie also brings to the agency experience in the fashion industry having worked with brands including La Vie En Rose, Aldo Group and Reitmans.

In the Toronto office, Katie Gallagher has joined the agency as account director, brand experiences for Kia Canada Inc. Katie will support the planning and execution of brand experiences while helping the brand to move towards more digital formats such as virtual auto shows in the coming months. Katie joins the agency with more then nine years of experience in client services and project management. Previously to coming to Innocean, Katie was lead producer at Momentum Worldwide for the agency’s large-scale brand experiences for General Motors at Auto Shows and the Calgary Stampede, as well as Bell Media’s activations at the Toronto International Film Festival. Previously to this Katie worked in the sponsorship and events space with companies including Harbourfront Centre, The Grid TO, and Canadian Film Centre.

Other new hires at the agency have included account executives, Casey Cain and Heather Hawke, as well as programmatic manager, Byron Bookbinder. The new additions will allow the agency to continue supporting new and existing clients as we enter 2021.
