Ingersoll Rand, a world leader in creating and sustaining safe, comfortable and efficient environments, has selected Indianapolis-based Young & Laramore (Y&L) as its advertising agency for the launch of the $2 billion security products and services spin-off, Allegion. Ingersoll Rand awarded the business to Y&L based on the agency’s success building Schlage (a major lock brand of Ingersoll Rand) in North America. Y&L is helping launch Allegion globally and will oversee creative advertising and global media planning and buying.
“By seeing how Y&L helped us bring the Schlage brand to life, we are confident they’ll bring the same thoughtful and strategic approach to this very important launch,” noted Ann Mathies, Schlage brand director.
Ingersoll Rand expects to complete the spin off of Allegion before the end of the year. Allegion will compete in the $30 billion global security products and solutions industry. It will be an Irish plc, with its North American corporate office in Carmel, Ind., and it will employ approximately 7,600 people in 35 countries, including 20 production and distribution facilities around the world.
The Allegion portfolio includes strategic security technology brands CISA®, Interflex®, LCN®, Schlage® and Von Duprin®; and other brands including aptiQ®, Briton™, Bricard®, BOCOM Systems™, Dalco™, Dexter®, Falcon®, Fusion Hardware Group™, Glynn-Johnson®, ITO Kilit™, Ives®, Kryptonite®, Legge®, Martin Roberts™, Normbau™, Randi™, Steelcraft® and XceedID®.
