Rudi Rossouw, Executive Produer at Stillking Cape Town and respected producer behind a brace of award-winning commercial work has died, Little Black Book is saddened to learn.
His colleagues at Stillking shared the news with the following announcement:
“With great sadness we have to announce the passing of our wonderful friend and colleague Rudi Rossouw. Rudi had a fall and apparent heart attack on New Years Day while at home with his family. Rudi has been part of our family and led Stillking Cape Town for 11 years since joining in 2007 after five happy years as Head of Production at MIA films and previous roles with Philo Films and Movie Makers Intl.
“Through his career he made hundreds of international commercials as the local South African Executive Producer/ Producer including award-winning campaigns for Samsung-Matthijs van Heijningen/MJZ, Delta and Samsung-Adam Berg/Smuggler and Stink, Guinness ‘Sapeurs’-Nicolai Fuglsig/MJZ, Virgin Atlantic-Antoine Bardou- Jacquet/Partizan, Ikea ‘Beds’-Juan Cabral/Logan, Bridgestone-Brian Beletic/Smuggler, Home Away-Martin Krejci/Stink and many others. He had friends and work partners from places all over the world.
“Rudi was unfailingly extremely kind, thoughtful, energetic, an excellent EP/Producer and a joy to be with. A guardian of creativity, a protector of his team, a dedicated rider and sponsor for others. A warm, lovely man who will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and support are with Rudi’s wife Leigh, daughter Hannah, stepson Matthew and mother Kate.
“There will be a private family service held on Saturday January 12th in the morning at Maitland Memorial Chapel, Cape Town followed by a gathering for all friends and family at The Devils Peak Taproom from midday. To celebrate his love of cycling and comradeship the Fireflies will ride out of San Francisco and London on Saturday January 12th.”
