Indie Agency Duncan Channon Welcomes Back MJ Deery as Creative Director

Independent full-service agency Duncan Channon has announced the appointment of MJ Deery as creative director. MJ brings over two decades of experience in narrative-building and a wealth of expertise in crafting impactful campaigns for brands, non-profits, and foundations.

Having previously worked with Duncan Channon from 2016 to 2021, MJ returns to the agency after a stint as creative director at Matter Unlimited, a social impact consultancy. There, she created the pioneering ESG platform for global apparel maker Gildan, collaborated with Color of Change to develop campaigns addressing critical race issues, and crafted an award-winning anthem for Save the Music's 25th anniversary featuring a track from Jon Batiste's Grammy Award-winning Album of the Year.

MJ's journey to becoming a creative leader in the industry started with a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. Her career has seen her traverse from traditional advertising to social impact spheres, where she has consistently demonstrated her ability to inspire, lead, and drive meaningful change.

MJ will be leading creative initiatives across several accounts as well as supporting new business efforts. She will report to creative chief officer Mike Lemme along with Channon.
