This year's awards include 24 categories that span the many disciplines and skills across the independent agency landscape

Independent agencies are like no other – bound by a shared spirit of independence, ideas, and purpose. The Alliance of Independent Agencies has united and celebrated the most distinct and innovative work from independent agencies.

This year's awards include 24 categories that span the many disciplines and skills across the independent agency landscape – so every dynamic independent agency will find a category that feels right to them, from PR to advertising, social media to brand experience, and even new sponsored categories that are represented by Google, TikTok, Halo and more. All categories will be judged on strategy, execution and effectiveness.

In addition to these categories, the Freedom Awards will return this year to champion other benefits of being independent. Judges will be on the lookout for standout work that captures the freedom that independent agencies have and how it can benefit clients. Judges will be specifically looking for examples of outstanding agency collaboration, agility, bravery and client service.

Entries will be judged by a hand-picked selection of leaders in their fields, with 50% of judges being clients of independent agencies – including Lego, Lloyds, British Airways, Reddit, NatWest and more.

Alliance member Cirkle CEO Ruth Kieran, who is returning to judge this year comments: “The Independent Agency Awards truly celebrate the creative freedom and independent spirit of our sector while recognising the unique talents of our people. I’m delighted to be judging the awards again this year, and look forward to seeing the breadth and depth of work produced over the last year.”
