Inca Kola is a well-known Peruvian brand, to the point that UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson highlighted it in an emotional message in a video as one of the examples of collaboration between governments of both nations, while celebrating the recent agreement created to work for the reconstruction of the North of the South American country after devastating consequences resulting from El Niño Costero phenomenon.
To express appreciation, Inca Kola invited him via Twitter to toast with its product and even showed where it can be obtained in London: Tierra Perú, a shop in the British city that offers genuine Peruvian gastronomy and very soon (because of the conjuncture) it will open its doors.
Christian Caldwell, CCO of McCann Worldgroup Lima, expressed that: “this idea seeks to attract attention about Peruvian restaurants and supports them in this particular moment, in addition to reinforce the link between the brand and the national gastronomy, to which it has historically been linked with and constantly we are revaluing. We hope that the Prime Minister feels like to go for his Inca Kola”.
So far several local and foreign media have emphasised the call, that will have presence on social networks, especially in Twitter. “With this small action, we wanted to reach to all Peruvians, Including the ones who live abroad, as well as reinforce our pride and celebrate with the world this unique taste that Peruvians have”, said Caldwell.
