Short film with dramatic soundscape launches the new creative campaign

In The Company of Huskies and Fàilte Ireland have launched a new creative campaign exploring the green heartland of Ireland. The creative showcases the natural rural beauty of the midlands where outdoor activities and relaxation are some of the many things visitors can discover when they visit. The heartland creative centres around a stunning piece of video content which uses sounds from local communities to highlight the natural beauty, wealth of activities and hospitality on offer in the area.

Taking inspiration from this creative, In The Company Of Huskies also created a Facebook Live edit to be aired over the coming weeks. This broadcast will feature a wide range of activities available in the heartlands areas including kayaking, walking, biking and horse riding. Area specific content will be shared on Instagram stories and through a series of themed Instagram albums. In addition to this, individual edits of the original piece of creative video content have been created to share on the Discover Ireland social channels, which make up part of the Fàilte Ireland initiatives, over the coming months.

Speaking about Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands creative campaign Brian Leonard from In The Company of Huskies said: "We wanted to create a campaign video that shows that Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands has its own vibrant pace. In this video we used the sounds of nature and people interacting with the environment to construct a natural beat."

Brian continues: "Using all the natural elements we created a unique soundtrack that features the sounds of wildlife, flowing water, the landscape, activities, kids at play and bustling scenes. This is accompanied by a simple VO top and tail that talks about how life here moves at its own pace."

Fàilte Ireland's Daragh Anglim said: "This campaign really brings Ireland’s Hidden Heartland to life. The area has a wealth of local beauty and activities available to those visiting. The content Huskies produced showcases the best the area has to offer. It really is a very special destination."

Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands is Fàilte Ireland’s latest tourism brand innovation designed to boost tourism and drive visitor growth across the Midlands region. The campaign will be brought to life through the Discover Ireland social channels and aims to showcase the Midland’s rich natural assets including its many lakes, walkways and blueways. It leverages a growing tourism trend for soft activities by encouraging visitors to be ‘active in nature’ and to explore the region off the beaten tracks through a range of activities including walking, food, cycling, fishing, and boating routes.
