Giselle Stiles was recently nominated as a Creative Champion. The DENTSU CREATIVE US's project manager shares why that honour was important to her and how her job is uniquely creative.
Q> How would you explain your job to a small child?
Giselle> I make sure that we get from point A to point B without any hiccups.
Q> How is your job uniquely creative?
Giselle> It’s uniquely creative in that I can come on to a brand and really make it my own (in terms of how I PM). Whether it's instilling new processes, revisiting ones a team currently has in place, or seeing where we can create more efficiencies, I am able to put my own spin on things based on my knowledge and past experiences.
Q> What advice would you give to your younger self?
Giselle> 'Ask questions'. It took me a while to follow my own advice, but I've found one of the best ways to learn (whether in your personal or professional life) is to ask questions!
Q> What is something that inspires you?
Giselle> My team. They are such a talented group of people and together we produce some incredible things. They really inspire me to do my best work and want to be the best I can be!
Q> What was your dream job when you were younger?
Giselle> A lawyer LOL. (Nothing against lawyers, but I'm glad I chose the PM path!).
Q> What TV show are you currently binging?
Giselle> Ooooooof? How much time do we have or is there a character limit for my response? If it's not a crime documentary/drama, it's reality TV. There's no in between for me.
Q> What is your secret superpower?
Giselle> If I told you what it was, then it wouldn't be a secret ;)
Q> Bucket list item?
Giselle> A safari in Africa! Or pasta/wine tasting in Italy!
Q> What is the best compliment you’ve ever received?
Giselle> Being nominated for Creative Champion! It took me by surprise, and I was really touched! It’s always special being recognized for all the hard work you’re putting in.
Q> One thing that makes you happy?
Giselle> My family (and wine is a close second). I have an amazing husband and son who bring me so much joy in this life. Saturdays out in the yard enjoying the day together is actual bliss for me.
