In our latest employee spotlight, DENTSU CREATIVE US's account supervisor Brianna Rape spoke about the challenges of managing her first large-scale TV production and staying up all night live tweeting to nail a risky campaign.
Q> Tell us about your favorite project you’ve worked on and why?
Brianna> Recently, it was a project this past spring that involved live tweeting until 5AM for multiple nights to take over #NightTwitter. It was a truly insane 'of-the-internet' social campaign that combined a unique social TOV with a solid insight. That allowed us to push the boundaries of comfort and execute a potentially risky campaign that drove engagement and follower growth results.
Q> What is your biggest career accomplishment thus far?
Brianna> Managing my first large-scale TV production, which happened to be the brand's biggest television advertising push in years. On top of that, it was directed by Spring Breakers director Harmony Korine, so all eyes were on this campaign from start to finish. We succeeded in creating an award-winning series of spots that told the stories of how our client infuses joy into the everyday moments of their diverse customers.
Q> What advice would you give to your younger self?
Brianna> 1. Get to know the people you are working with. 2. There is no such thing as asking too many questions.
Q> What was your dream job when you were younger?
Brianna> I dreamt of moving to New York City and being the head of PR at a luxury fashion house. Obviously, I was heavily influenced by 'The Devil Wears Prada'.
Q> What show are you currently binging?
Brianna> Every season of Survivor. Currently on Season 14.
Q> If you could meet someone famous, who would that be?
Brianna> I once served Ty Pennington as a bartender in Athens, Georgia. He was an absolute delight. If I had been given a choice of who to meet, it would have been Casey Neistat and Candice Pool.
Q> One thing that makes you happy?
Brianna> Finishing a book and marking complete in my notes app.
