Creative agency Impero and luxury fashion and fragrance brand Carolina Herrera are today launching the second series of the acclaimed Carolina Herrera Presents: Walk Tall.

Hosted by broadcaster Miquita Oliver and Vogue fashion director Julia Sarr-Jamois, the podcast’s second season aims to inspire the next generation of young women in business. Inspired by Venezuelan designer Herrera’s own journey, Walk Tall spotlights careers and female empowerment in the workplace.

As women’s rights have come under attack worldwide, the fight has never been more important. The future of women at work will be shaped by policy changes and evolving social attitudes, but also by advances in technology. In our own creative industry WACL is working towards #representme to look at how women want to be represented. Bringing women into the industry is one thing but nuanced support is something else. That’s why Impero wanted to create a new series of Walk Tall - to help bring the experiences of diverse women to the forefront in a format that is native to our audience of young women starting work to meet them where they are.

The new series will build on the success of the first, presented by author and content creator Toni Tone and cover issues including confidence, happiness and the power of self-belief. The series will cover themes including self-worth and how to communicate what you want, mastering the art of work-life balance and how to shake off imposter syndrome.

The hosts, who are long-term friends, will bring these issues to life by talking openly about how they made it to the top of their careers, sharing their tips, actionable takeaways and stories. They will also discuss how they got into their industries, the value of making genuine connections, focus, drive and work ethic, and the importance of being ambitious as a young woman of colour. The series will kick off with a deep dive into their shared past, reflecting on when they first met and what they wish they’d known as they started in their respective careers.

Produced by Mags Creative, this empowering podcast has been developed for women by women with engaging and relevant content that aligns with its fashion-skewed audience. It marks a departure for Carolina Herrera from more traditional and passive marketing formats towards creating content that places the brand in today’s culture. The first series won a Bronze in the Best Business Podcast category at the British Podcast Awards. The judges noted it was a good example of a branded podcast without being self-serving.

Charlotte Willcocks, head of strategy at Impero, said, “After the success of series one, we were delighted to collaborate with the podcast again to help grow the brand and place a spotlight on female empowerment. Both Miquita and Julia have such inspiring stories. Having women discuss their own struggles can make all the difference for a young entrepreneurial woman to become successful.”
