Imagination Takes a Wild Turn in Amazing World of Gumball Kids Series

Fitzrovia Post partnered with Turner Broadcasting to create the extraordinary sound for this wildly imaginative children’s TV series. 

Creator Ben Bocquelet, had the visionary idea to take abandoned characters from previous pitches and have them come together in one environment, thus creating the one and only ‘Amazing World of Gumball’! 

Using a staggering mix of stop motion, flash animation, traditional animation, live - action, puppetry and CG, ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’ is simply a series like no other. 

Directed by Mic Graves and produced by Sarah Fell and Nathalie LeBerre, ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’ boasts truly unique animation style and premium sound design embellishing this delightfully wacky universe. 

It is no surprise to the team at Fitzrovia that ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’ went on to triumph over the competition in the ‘Best Use of Sound’ Category at the British Animation Awards (BAA) 2020. 

Fitzrovia Post was responsible for recording the voice talent, foley, foley fit, sound design and sound mix. 

Fitzroia’s foley team employed a vast range of techniques to create the signature sounds associated with Gumball’s beloved character, Banana Joe. Utilising a variety of props, from wet sponges to deflated balloons, Fitzrovia executed the foley brief to the letter, bringing a burst of creative thinking to the process. 

Director Keiran Brown, describes the production as “ingeniously designed” with “endless depth, imagination and humour”.
