Ignite Social Media Taps Three for All Female Leadership Team
Social media marketing agency Ignite Social Media today announced three promotions that will bolster its leadership team. The agency, recently named the Social Agency of the Year Worldwide in the Corporate Social Media Awards, named its current Chief Operating Officer Deidre Bounds as President of the agency, effective 9/1. Jim Tobin, the company's founder, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer the same day.
The agency is also promoting Lisa Braziel and Misi McClelland to become the company's first Senior Vice Presidents. They, along with Bounds, will maintain day-to-day responsibility for Ignite. Braziel was the agency's first employee back in 2007, most recently serving as Vice President of Strategy. McClelland has served as the agency's Vice President of Media and Analytics for the last 6 years. Both have served as senior advisers to Ignite owners.
This all-female leadership team dramatically defies the industry trend of lack of female representation, particularly in authority roles, and fittingly comes just days after Women's Equality Day (August 26th).

"Today, we're evolving our leadership team even further by elevating Deidre to president. Her leadership at Ignite and prior to it have demonstrated the energy she infuses into the organizations she runs. By taking the position of CEO, I can focus on high level business strategy while also developing our Carusele influencer marketing product."
