Ideal Standard International (ISI), the leading bathroom specialist, has appointed Havas PR UK to handle a pan European PR brief following a pitch.
As part of the appointment, the agency will also handle consumer and trade PR in the UK. The hiring means that Ideal Standard’s advertising, channel planning, digital and PR work are all now managed under one roof. Ideal Standard works with Havas on its advertising business, after appointing the agency last year.
Havas PR UK will be responsible for developing a platform for the brand which can work across multiple markets and multiple audiences and will also be responsible for implementation in the UK.
The focus in 2012 was the development of a brand story and a new creative idea and expression for Ideal Standard, said Kerris Bright, ISI chief marketing officer. “This year the emphasis is on telling that brand story to consumers, architects, designers and installers.
Whilst there are obvious benefits in consolidating work into Havas we had to be convinced that the agency has the necessary creative and strategic PR muscle and can really walk the talk when it comes to integration,” she said. They were able to demonstrate truly joined up thinking and a really great idea.”
