#CreativeIsNative will remove agency credits, being a world-first as the only anonymous platform that puts the country’s entire commercial creativity industry ahead of individual agencies
One of IAPI’s ambitions is to establish Ireland as a centre of excellence for the commercial creativity sector. So, on 5th November, it's launching the unique platform 'Ireland: where Creative is Native”.

Creative Directors across the IAPI membership agreed to remove agency credits in the showcased work, making this a world-first as it is the only anonymous platform that puts the country’s entire commercial creativity industry, ahead of individual agencies.

Creative is Native plays on the principle that Ireland is a country known for its’ great musicians, poets, writers etc and that these obviously spill into the commercial creative world of advertising, design and communications.  As our population becomes more diverse, and we are left as the only English-speaking country in the EU, we can overlay a more global view. Thus making our bid to be a European Centre of Excellence for our industry even more timely and possible.

“This is a hugely significant initiative for our industry. It has come about due to the goodwill and collaboration of like-minded people who understand the importance of establishing Ireland’s position on the world advertising stage”, says Sean Hynes, creative director, Bonfire, and chair of the
creative council on the IAPI Board, who has led this important initiative in collaboration with Charley Stoney, CEO, IAPI and creative directors across the membership.

“The first submissions came from over 30 agencies, were make up of work created for clients in the previous three years and were voted on by the creative directors in IAPI. Only those obtaining the highest ranking were uploaded onto the site, ensuring that the creative work on display is the best of the best of Ireland’s commercial creativity including advertising, design, PR and social. Following the launch, we’re looking forward to receiving submissions every quarter so we can continue building up the body of creative work.”

The first body of work has been selected by their own members but IAPI are hoping that other creative industry bodies such as CPI, ICAD, IDI and PRCA will submit work for this unique Irish commercial creativity platform.

The platform was designed and built by the Design Factory and the live launch at 3pm on 5th November is being broadcast using Verve’s production expertise and will include a moderated panel discussion with four leading creatives in the Irish industry:

- Jen Speirs, executive creative director, Rothco | Accenture Interactive
- Shane O’Brien, executive creative director, BBDO Dublin
- Laura Halpin, copywriter, Folk Wunderman Thompson
- Sean Hynes, creative director, Bonfire
- Moderator: Charley Stoney, CEO, IAPI

In the build up to and during the launch event, IAPI will be releasing videos through their social platforms recorded by creatives, musicians, directors, artists and senior marketers who will share their own view of why this platform is so relevant and important for the market.

This event is being broadcast using Verve – The Live Agency’s production expertise and is free to attend. To join IAPI for the launch of creative is Native please register here or email here.
