Full-service integrated marketing agency HY Connect (HYC) has hired Kerry Griffin as chief talent officer, effective immediately, President and CEO Ron Bess announced today. Griffin, who will report to Bess, has worked closely with the agency network as a consultant for the past few months.
Griffin will concentrate on helping the agency develop the people and culture for each office in its Atlanta, Boston and Chicago network, which includes the newly acquired Merge Design + Interactive. She will be in charge of development, recruiting, performance management, benefits and other areas, and will work with managers of each department to align workers’ passions, interests, knowledge and experience. Griffin is also a big believer in real-time feedback about employees’ work output.
“Kerry’s background in client service means she understands how work gets done,” said Bess. “She partners with teams to help remove roadblocks that hold them back from doing their best. She transitioned to the HR side of the business because she wanted to make a big impact across an entire organisation instead of just one account or discipline.”
Griffin began her career in client services at Leo Burnett before taking on North American HR and talent management for Geometry Global, a position she held for 10 years.
HYC’s clients include Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Bakers Square, IU Health, MB Financial Bank, Roche, James Hardie and Harley-Davidson.
