Known for his honest, intimate, documentary style and his iconic body of work with some of the world’s best music artists, Huse was thrust into the height of music video, when handed a camera at MTV whilst on an internship. He reflects ‘I was very fortunate, in that I started my career at MTV in the mid 90s at the peak of its relevance. I was always into music from a very early age, gigging non-stop, so getting a job there in the mid 90s was a dream come true.’
He continues, ‘One of my first jobs was shooting b-roll on a Dr Dre interview. I had no idea what I was doing, but someone handed me a camera and said ‘this is record’ and I was off!’
Across his career he has worked on high profile projects for Pharrell Williams (Mastercard), Eric Prydz (Call on Me), YouTube, Tinie Tempah (Playstation), Rag’n’Bone Man and the comical spoof perfume ad, One Direction ‘That Moment’.
At the end of last year, Huse’s video for Arctic Monkeys ‘Brianstorm’ was chosen as one of the most important British music videos of all time by the BFI, an honour reserved for only a select few.

Dark Energy founder, Matt Brown comments.
"We’re so happy that Huse has found a home here at Dark Energy. His engaging documentary style and his ability to make A-list talent feel completely at ease are just a few of his gifts. We look forward to collaborating on many exciting projects together.’
Huse adds, ‘‘It’s been a long time since I’ve met someone with Matt’s ambition, attitude and honesty and I think he’s ahead of the curve in that sense. I think he’s got a really interesting business model and I look forward to working together’
In addition to Huse’s commercial and music-based work, most recently shooting content projects for Apple Music with the likes of Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith, he has been working on a dramatic adaptation of his short film ‘Chris Wilson – Just Like You’. Huse says ‘ Wilson is an artist and author who’s memoir “Horse Latitudes” I was introduced to by a good friend. It’s an astonishing read and Chris is one of the most engaging people I’ve ever met, like a modern day Charles Bukowski. It’s a passion project of mine to take his story to the big screen .’
