'Hunter Gatherer' is a combined exhibition focusing indirectly on the everyday life of graphic artists and their correlation with the natural world.
'Moose & Yeti' and 'Squirl' have been working in commercial graphic design and illustration for a number of years, they have seen their creative work reach thousands of people across the world, in many different countries. Between them, they have a combined experience of 15 years and have refined their technical knowledge and expertise in these areas.
Inspired by simplistic, naïve drawings and sharp, black graphic lines, Squirl has an illustrative style often focusing on a central obscure character. This directed focus enables the viewer to create their own history or story based upon the character’s stance, facial expression or the scenario that they are placed in. However, it is often just the shape or composition that gives his work a unique aesthetic quality.
Moose & Yeti incorporates urban art with comic-book style illustration, using minimal colour for high impact which allows him to create striking and defiant artwork. A lot of his work concentrates on central characters, taking inspiration for themes from different social, cultural and historical settings. With a background in Advertising, Design and Illustration, Moose & Yeti has been able to realise creative ideas and develop them into finished product.
