Ad agency mcgarrybowen, NY teams up with Rock Paper Scissors, bicoastal editor Kirk Baxter to inspire the impetus to deliver innovative solutions for big problems in their new campaign “Powerful Answers.” Sonic Union mixer Steve Rosen provided the sound design and audio mix for the inspirational campaign, which features work from lauded composer Philip Glass. The campaign includes the :30/:60 “Attendance,” granting a sick boy an equal opportunity to attend school with his classmates virtually through innovative robot technology. The campaign also includes a :60 and :90 of the “Eureka” anthem spot as well as :30s and :60s for the additional three spots, “Black Diamond,” “Suddenly” and “The Brave.”
Eureka:
The :30/:60 “Attendance” tugs at heart strings with the story of a feeble young boy housebound due to illness, who is granted the opportunity to virtually attend class alongside his classmates thanks to a VGo robot powered by Verizon’s 4G LTE network. As we see the excitable young student interacting with his classmates and teacher in real-time from his bedroom desk, we also watch the innovative creators conjuring and testing concepts for the robotic technology, overwhelmed with the excitement of pioneering technology.
Attendance:
Additionally, “Black Diamond” features a partnership with Motion Technology to deliver solutions to streamline the location monitoring and dispatching of emergency response vehicles, allowing for unprecedented response times; “Suddenly” highlights their work with NantHealth, allowing oncologists access to the most current treatments and regimens; and “The Brave” which features the Kopin Golden-i Wireless Headset which revolutionizes the way users interact with their virtually-enhanced surroundings.
The Brave:
Black Diamond:
Suddenly:
The campaign debuted alongside Verizon’s CES announcement of their Verizon Powerful Answers Awards, which aims to spark innovative thinking and creative problem solving across industries, generating ideas, solutions and answers. The $10 million in prizes will be awarded to the top contenders after a year’s worth of judging and will be announced at CES 2014.
