Colorado-based Human Design, the six-year-old independent advertising and marketing firm, has launched its first outpost in Los Angeles and named Daniel Clarke to oversee operations.
"The decision to start an office in LA felt very natural for Human Design. A large amount of our work is in commercial production, and we work with a number of clients on the West Coast," said Human Design’s co-founder and CEO Matt Null.
The boutique agency is expanding its presence in California to work with a number of West Coast clients. These include Ladder — a wellness program founded by LeBron James, Cindy Crawford, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Lindsey Vonn — Olly Vitamins, CV Sciences, Weider and Vulcan Productions.
Daniel has been named managing director of the L.A. office, and will handle new business and existing clients. He is the founder of wildlife media brand Escape the Zoo and co-founder of the award-winning nonprofit Fresh Truck. Daniel hosts Escape the Zoo, a podcast where he interviews scientists, conservationists and wildlife photographers.
“I have followed Human Design and been inspired by their work for some time now. I feel very fortunate to join this talented team and help grow Human’s presence on the West Coast,” Daniel explained.
Aside from the new satellite office, Daniel and Human Design have another joint project in the works: later this year, they will debut Feral, a documentary that Daniel wrote, directed and co-produced with Human Design. The film is narrated by Ian Harding and looks at the environmental and ethical issues caused by hundreds of thousands of homeless, feral cats living on the Hawaiian Islands.
