Huge has published a
working from home guide made exclusively by parents, for parents from Huge’s Parents Affinity Group — a pillar of the agency’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) efforts to build communities where it can support, build and foster parents within the Huge network.
The group's mission is to build a community for parents at Huge to learn from each other, commiserate with each other, and support the creative spirit of their children. But the guide serves as a useful and beautifully designed resource for all adults at home with kids during this unprecedented time. Huge has kindly shared it publicly as a resource for the larger community.
You can check it out here.
Some highlights of the project are:
- The 'Huge Parents’ WFH Guide: Keeping your cool for your kids.' was created to help reaffirm Huge’s family-friendly work culture and help parents (and any child caregiver) navigate the current realities of today’s WFH climate.
- Because of COVID-19, parents and caregivers have had to become teachers, entertainers and caretakers overnight. These new jobs are on top of their full-time careers. But who's taking care of the parents and caregivers? Enter Huge Parents.
- The guide includes tips and advice for working from home with children, including setting up a productive workspace, finding a rhythm and routine, easing into the new normal, and putting a pause on perfection.
- A crowdsourced, vetted list of external links and resources including video training and webinars by Empowerment, an organisation that supports and develops female talent with reality and research-based curriculum, coaching and community.
