At a time when many companies are scaling back, the Holiday United Group
(HUG) continues to grow stronger in response to the changing needs of ad agencies and internal marketing departments.
As part of its commitment to the new demands in the market, HUG is announcing the addition of Andy McLeod as executive producer.
“Andy is an ideal fit for us in every way” said Josefina Nadurata, HUG co-founder and executive producer. “His background dovetails perfectly with the four companies that make up the HUG service offering - Holiday Films for commercials, Nimble Content for online content, The Cavalry for stills and Recess Post for editorial, colour and VFX. Finding a seasoned EP with his production diversity is rare and valuable to our team. Perhaps best of all though, is how well Andy fits into the HUG culture, an important part of our business.”
Andy sees his arrival as an opportunity to help grow the business: “As we make our way out of Covid, marketers are telling us they are looking for more efficient ways to produce a full range of content without compromising the quality of their creative." said Andy. "HUG has an impressive three year track record doing exactly this, so I’m thrilled to be part of the group.” He takes note of the quality of directorial and production / post talent available on the HUG rosters. “I’m hugely impressed by the range of talent HUG has to offer. From A-level international directors to local one-man-bands, we have it all. This depth allows us to scale up and down easily depending on the project. This is what marketers are looking for and here, all the components are under one roof.”
Matt Syberg-Olsen, ECD at Doug & Partners, added: “Not only does the combination of production and post help us deliver greater value to our clients, but it provides continuity within the process that, we find, leads to a better final product.”
His thoughts are echoed by Hayes Steinberg, CCO at The Mark: “HUG makes our lives less complex. With one partner across the production spectrum, it feels like we talk to one 'head' that sends the right messages to the rest of the 'body'. This makes the process simpler, the budget clearer, and the quality of the work better. The icing on the cake: the people are kind, deeply caring, and hard-working. I hesitate recommending them because I don’t want to share them!”

“The down-time during the early lockdown allowed us time to connect with agencies and clients to assess their needs”, said Derek Sewell, co-founder of HUG. “It became abundantly clear that with HUG, we are well positioned to be valuable partners for advertisers on many levels. With our clients’ feedback in mind, and the success of our model to date, we’re excited to be growing our offering. I can confidently say we’ve never had a stronger team in place and we’ve never been better equipped to solve our clients production puzzles.”
In addition to Andy’s arrival, HUG is happy to announce that Andrew Lynch and Michael Corbiere, executive producers at Nimble Content for the past six years, and more recently at The Cavalry, have been made partners in HUG. Their deep experience in producing powerful, award-winning digital content has proven invaluable to HUG and its clients.
