Content marketing can reach your desired audience in a way that is authentic, according to Jelly Academy

Content marketing is a crucial step when it comes to an overall marketing strategy as it allows for your brand to reach your desired audience in a way that feels authentic and valuable. Content marketing is most beneficial when it comes to creating conversions with your audience by including key calls to action and your brand’s clear voice within the content.

To begin with your content marketing strategy, think of questions your customers may have about your product or industry and find ways to answer them and bring value to their query. This process should tell a story to achieve a more natural result. There are countless ways to approach content marketing but we’re going to break down the first few ways you can get started.

Blogs

Since content marketing is focused on bringing your brand’s voice into a story, what better way than to do so than creating the story yourself? On-site blogs are still a super valuable way to produce content that educates and engages your visitors. In your strategy, build out monthly topics that will bring value to your audience. Utilise tools like Answer the Public to find out what type of questions people are searching related to your business.

Some key practices to include in your blog pages are clear calls to action that inspire further steps on your website from your desired audience. Internal linking (linking to other pages on your website) is a great way to get a lot of value out of your blog, so long as those links are related to your content!

Infographics

Infographics are a great way to simplify larger concepts and make them more accessible to your audience. These are incredibly valuable content tools to increase brand and product awareness that feels natural and educational. Once you find your desired topics, try incorporating several infographics within your website and social media content.

Video Content

Did you know that 96% of consumers say that the amount of video content they consume has increased since the beginning of the pandemic? This is a hard number to ignore and more reason to include video content to build brand awareness. Video content is a great way to bring your brand’s personality as well as provide education that is easy to digest.

With apps like TikTok and the emergence of popularity with Instagram Reels, there are many ways to incorporate quick, quality content that reaches a wider niche audience. Try incorporating video content into your monthly social media calendars.

Another way to share video content is through a more classic YouTube channel. This is a great place to build out branded content that brings value to your audience and tells a cohesive story. YouTube is also a great place to share user generated content, which we will dive deeper into later, where you can share user experience videos with your brand or product. Video testimonials typically provide more authenticity and lead to more conversions.

User Generated Content on Social Media

User generated content is any content that has been produced by platform users, such as social media or blogs. User generated content is a way to build brand awareness while remaining more authentic as it is the users sharing their personal experience with a brand/ product opposed to your brand sharing why people should be interested.

Some great ways to incorporate this via social media is by creating a branded hashtag or hashtag contest. Get users to share their testimonial or experience with your brand with a particular branded hashtag to enter in a product or service giveaway. This gives users incentive to participate and gives your brand authentic awareness.

Another way to use user generated content is through influencer marketing. While consumers are becoming more savvy about the intentions behind influencer marketing, it is still a very valuable way to get user generated content. The best way to do this is finding an influencer that genuinely matches your brand’s messaging as well as fits in well with their content for the most authentic and effective results.
