HouseTrip Appoints mcgarrybowen

Agency wins three-way pitch

HouseTrip Appoints mcgarrybowen

HouseTrip has chosen mcgarrybowen as the agency they work with to transform the way people book holidays across Europe. After a three-way pitch the agency was appointed by HouseTrip’s Chief Marketing Director, Zaid Al-Qassab.

Al-Qassab’s recent arrival at HouseTrip after 20 years at Procter & Gamble marks a shift in the company’s focus on marketing.   Al-Qassab said prior to the pitch that he was “looking for an agency to help design the brand” and mcgarrybowen will now be tasked with helping the business build a robust positioning and plan in order to establish leadership in the category.

Al-Qassab said: “HouseTrip offers an incredible opportunity because the company is operating in a market where there still isn’t a hugely branded proposition. I’m delighted that in mcgarrybowen we’ve found a fantastic partner who have the strategic and creative flair to land our brand at this crucial juncture”.

Rick Hirst, CEO at mcgarrybowen, said, “we are thrilled that we will be working with such an innovative business.  Zaid’s got hugely ambitious plans for the HouseTrip brand and we can’t wait to get started properly”.

In order to effectively amplify the brand campaign that will be created by mcgarrybowen, HouseTrip has now embarked on a pitch for a pan-European PR agency. The pitch process is in its early stages and will be led by Al-Qassab along with HouseTrip’s PR Director, Ryan Levitt.
