Hotspring, the New York based software platform, has announced the recent hire of Ben Stallard as global head of production. The role will be focussed on driving the growth and profile of the platform across the visual effects industry.
Ben joins the business with over 20 years experience at the forefront of commercial visual effects, having spent eight years at MPC and twelve years at The Mill as head of production, group production director and executive board member. Since leaving The Mill in 2019, he founded ArtclubVFX, specialising in outsourcing to India.
Ben said: “I have known the founders Jon and Varun for a number of years, and we reconnected recently. We quickly realised we had a shared experience in outsource production and a shared vision of the future of VFX. Hotspring provides the tools and the global talent to enable VFX studios of all sizes to scale quickly, securely and cost effectively. We have a clear vision of the future and are working with our clients to continually develop our platform and grow our network of talent. The value this unique and timely platform brings to the VFX industry is huge, so I was delighted to join the team.”
Hotspring CEO, Jon Mason, adds: “We’re so excited to have Ben as part of the team at Hotspring. He offers the perfect combination of shared vision coupled with distinct and complementary skill sets to help fuel our continued growth. His collaborative approach makes him the perfect partner to work with our growing client base, not only to meet their current needs, but also to design the next generation of solutions to help them thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape. We’re thrilled to have him on board.”
