HomeServe Helps Customers ‘Take Home Life in Their Stride’ in Brand Campaign

RocketMill spot highlights the benefits of HomeServe's home repairs and emergencies offering

HomeServe’s new advertising campaign by independent marketing agency RocketMill aims to grow awareness of the HomeServe brand and the benefits that cover from HomeServe provides to its customers. The campaign shows that with a policy from HomeServe, home repairs and emergencies are taken care of, enabling customers to ‘take home life in their stride’.

The new multi-channel campaign incorporates TV, radio, online and out-of-home to target homeowners in and out of their homes as they go about their busy lives. The simplicity and humour in the campaign communicates the benefits of HomeServe cover in a way that connects emotionally by mirroring the lives of the target audience. The campaign launched in the North West of England in January. 

The ad, co-produced by social enterprise production Iconic Steps and Great Guns, shows home-owner and family man, Jason, walking calmly through his home while comically avoiding the breakages and damages that can occur in everyday home life. Although the scene and his clothes change, Jason never once breaks his stride as the camera tracks ahead of him to the front door where he is met by a HomeServe engineer who arrives to fix the problem whilst he enjoys time with his family. 

The campaign, which was developed by RocketMill, prompts the audience to reflect on the inconvenience and hassle that is caused by repairs and emergencies within the home, positioning HomeServe cover as the stress-free solution. Within a saturated market, the key goal is to build awareness, familiarity and trust in the HomeServe brand.
