Draftfcb has won the account for the Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS), an independent and non-governmental organization aiming to serve the needs of its community in housing and related services.
Following a competitive three-way pitch the agency will develop the strategy, project branding and an integrated campaign for the launch of an urban renewal project in Shau Kei Wan.
The development concept pursues a cross-generational mix of people including local professionals, young couples and singles as well as families and will consist of 274 units. It is located in Shau Kei Wan, a convenient location closely linked to leisure, dining and shopping facilities in the Eastern district on Hong Kong Island.
“As it’s an urban renewal project, there’s a creative challenge in respecting and nurturing the old charm of the area, while injecting a contemporary and modern element as well,” said Iris Lo, managing director and executive creative director of Draftfcb in Hong Kong. “The HKHS is a reputable housing solution provider and innovator in its own right and we’re delighted to help make this project a success for all involved,” she added.
Since its inception, the Housing Society has not only provided affordable housing, but a range of quality housing schemes including private flats of full market value like the H21 development.
