Christian Celaya, creative director at The Diner Music, picks out a selection of projects that have recently caught his attention

I’m a two-decade vet of the music industry, with my first decade spent recording and touring in a variety of major and indie label-signed bands, and the second decade spent as a film / TV composer. Currently, I’m creative director at The Diner Music, tasked with not only keeping our production music library fresh and relevant, but recruiting high-profile artists to collaborate with us on new production music. We recently debuted our new BTS web series, 'Meet The Collaborator', where we 'pull the curtain back' for our clients to see how our original production music is produced in-studio. I hope you enjoy my High Five...

Netflix - 'Stranger Things 4: Vol. 2 Trailer'

Agency: In-house at Netflix
Sound: Totem

Early on in my trailer-composing career, I met Pat Buchanan, who is co-founder of Totem. A lovely and insightful person. Totem not only puts out stellar trailer cue-inspired albums, but seems to land every mega trailer out there. Big admirer of their work.

B&Q - 'Flip'

Agency: Uncommon Creative Studio
Production: Pulse Films
Director: Oscar Hudson
Post: Electric Theatre Collective
Editorial: tenthree
Sound: Factory Studios

A powerful and emotional spot with some incredible direction and SFX that involved multiple 3D builds, models and sets. And c’mon...anything that features Bowie is magic!

Samsung - 'Love Hurts'

Agency: Leo Burnett Germany
Production: Zauberberg Productions

I’ve got a massive fear of spiders, but even that didn’t get in the way of this charming spot.

HBO - 'The Baby'

Agency: Mob Scene

Killer spot (no pun intended) and I’m a huge fan of the work that Mob Scene and their VP of music (and good friend), Toddrick Spalding, do. I love dark comedies and the use of this score is perfect.

New York Lottery - 'Road Dogs'

Agency: McCann New York
Sound: The Diner Music

I had to show some love to our amazing team at The Diner Music for this cheeky and charming spot. The juxtaposition of Leo Delibes 'Flower Duet' underscoring adorable dogs living their best lives warrants its inclusion.
