Sergio Franco Tosso, executive creative director at Fahrenheit DDB in Lima, kicks off our first-ever Peruvian edition of High Five with some special picks

In addition to being very passionate about my job and having worked hand in hand with our team to rank the agency as the current number one in the country, my jam is documentary photography and photography direction - and that makes my job much more fun. Ever since I took creative leadership in 2016, Fahrenheit DDB has won every year at Cannes and other international festivals such as El Sol, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, Lia, and One Show. During the last two Cannes editions, we got the privilege of being in the top ten of the best agencies in the region - results that proudly makes us one of the most awarded advertising agencies in the history of Peru!

Peruvian Cancer Foundation - 'Ruining Lyrics to Help'

Agency: Fahrenheit DDB
Production: Fahrenheit Content
Post: Jorge García Aymar
Music: Kazoo Audio

Due to the language barrier, around three million Peruvian K-Pop fans sing Korean songs by phonetics. A mind-blowing fact they had to take advantage of at the Peruvian Cancer Foundation. So, we used these wrong lyrics and turned them into donation phrases that quickly, and for the very first time, made our fundraising a trend on TikTok.

AB InBev - 'Cristal Block Bars'

Agency: VMLY&R Peru
Production: Manzanon Films
Post: Nativo Post
Music: Humanimal

In Peru, bars and pubs have remained closed for the last two years. This immediately became an opportunity for Cristal, the iconic beer nationwide, and its eCommerce channel. They had the clever idea of building the most popular bars and pubs of their city inside the world of Minecraft, but with one brilliant detail - they used the bricks to create QR Codes that brought beer deals for everyone in real time.

Nestlé's Kit Kat - 'Battle'

Agency: Wunderman Thompson Perú
Production: Rebolucion
Post: Rebolucion
Music: Papamusic

In Peru, it is not common to run campaigns for global brands and for many countries. That´s why I chose this campaign. Fresh, hilarious and with the product at the centre (taught by the book) that took one of the most popular events in contemporary pop culture - freestyle rap battles. This is a classic film that could also work as great content for social.

Sport Boys Association x A Life for Dakota - 'Pink Ribbons'

Agency, Production & Post: Nodos
Music: Soundlab

For a football team, its jersey is a sacred icon. Especially if it’s one from Sport Boys, a team with almost 100 years of living, based in Callao, a popular region with a lot of local tradition and culture. By taking advantage of their jersey colour, they made a simple but strong idea to donate their jersey to make pink ribbons in order to raise awareness of the fight against breast cancer. A powerful and symbolic idea that made the other teams want to wear a piece of another team’s jersey over its own.

Entel - 'Stand Up with Purpose'

Agency: McCann Lima
Production: Craft
Post: High End
Music: Agosto

I’m completely sure I’ve never seen something like this before. Letting disabled people entertain a whole country is, as I mentioned, new but challenging. They are admirable people who are funny and confident. This campaign is absolutely fresh for a telco, I only have claps for this idea.
