As part of the 2021 Immortal Awards jury, Nice Shoes' executive creative director, Harv Glazer, accepted LBB's invitation to select five Canadian projects from the last year that he believes should be entered and stand a good chance of winning at this year's awards. An acclaimed director, producer and EP with over 20 years' experience, Harv has shot and produced music videos for a number of high-profile artists including Drake, Rihanna, Shaggy, Blink 182 and Snoop Dogg, to name a few. He was also nominated at the 2021 Grammy Awards for Best Music Video for producing Future + Drake’s 'Life is Good' with Director X. Having worked with big brands on a number of fully-animated projects which came into high demand in the past year - including Pepsi, Peacock and a campaign for Georgia Votes produced by Coca-Cola (plus loads more) - Harv is more than qualified to share the projects he thinks stand a chance at winning at the 2021 Immortal Awards...
McDonald's - 'Summertime Chair'
Agency: Cossette
Production: Septième Thème Production
This image ties together the most recognisable summer accessory with a beauty of a day and the magical taste of sodium. It’s perfection.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving - 'Cars in Bottles'
Agency: Rethink
It’s a message in a bottle...think about that again, perfect delivery.
Pfaff Harley Davidson - 'Tough Turban'
Agency: Zulu Alpha Kilo
Production: Zulubot
Director: Barbara Shearer
Product Design: Spark Innovations
This is one of those really cool pieces that shows the world just how small it is, and that unique ideas can bring us all together. I've seen these guys out for a ride and all I wanted to do was tail along.
IKEA - 'Our Little World'
Agency: Rethink
Production: Scouts Honour
Director: Mark Zibert
Post: a52
Commercials don't get any better than this (with the exception of '
Start the Car'). Watch it again. Nuff said.
Canadian Women's Foundation - 'The Signal'
Agency: Juniper Park\TBWA
Fantastic campaign. It's raw, real, uncomfortable - there's no over-acting and the message is one that needs to brought to everyone's attention. Great work, JP\TBWA!
