The team at Berlin-based film and photography creative production studio REKORDER choose five recent German ads that share a message worth spreading
When asked to pick our top five German pieces of work, we selected films rooted in journalism, art and culture - our DNA. We believe that beautiful visuals and a great story make a great film. We stand for the fusion between high-quality filmmaking, depth and entertainment.

Short Film - 'The Mysterious Opacity of Other Beings'

Production: S.EC Studio
Director: Ferdinand Feldmann
Post Production: Glassworks

Ferdinand Feldmann's short is simply beautiful and captivating. Shot on film, every scene is on point. Especially the shot with the running dog on the field leaves us in awe every time we re-watch it.

Klarna x INDIE - 'Queer Artists Pt. I'

Director: Harun Güler
Music & Sound: eeph / TIME:CODE

We love Klarna’s campaign with Queer artists. The film is composed of stunning images to convey a strong and important message we fully support. Well done, Harun Güler!

MINI - 'Minimalism'

Agencies: Serviceplan Germany x Serviceplan Middle East

Minimalism is so powerful if well done. MINI's latest campaign is an excellent example of this truth, accurate and designed as simply yet effectively as the brand’s core values.

Netflix - 'Sex/Life Mamifest'

Director: Katharina Hingst
Music: Staub Audio

We greatly enjoyed Katharina Hingst's new film for 'Sex/Life Manifest' on Netflix because it is unapologetically honest and brave - striking on a profound topic, delivered in a fun way.

Purple Disco Machine - 'Fireworks' Music Video

Production: REKORDER / Common People Films
Production Services: Lucky Luciano Pictures
Editors: tenthree
Film Process: Cinelab London

We produced this music video with Greg Barth for Purple Disco Machine, but we love it not only because of that. But because it catches you, entertains, makes you laugh and then - think. Subtle, with no finger-pointing. Besides, its concept is creative, its dance scenes well-choreographed and the graphics are so Greg Barth - amazing!
