Mohamed Bareche, creative director at Publicis Dubai, chooses some of the projects that remind him why he loves what he does
Some ads made me want to be a creative for a living, some ads made me love my job, some ads made me realise how long the way to reach brilliance is. Others reminded me how fun and entertaining ads should be, left me in awe, or even demonstrated to me how smart a creative can be. Here are five samples of those ads that made me love ads...
Xbox - 'Life Is Short, Play More'
Agency: BBH London
Director: Daniel Kleinman
Maybe the best Xbox ad ever from the brilliant Fred & Farid team during their time at BBH. Great direction, memorable visual trick, a brilliant message that elevates the purpose and made the brand differentiate from PS2 (its strong competitor) at that time. What more can we do?
Miller High Life - 'One Second Ads'
Agency: Saatchi & Saatchi
The Super Bowl media space is insanely expensive? Not a problem,we will create one second ads. My favourite Super Bowl ad - with smart strategy and a hilarious outcome, the main character cast is just everything here.
Sony Bravia - 'Balls'
Agency: Fallon Production: MJZ
Post: The Mill LA
Editorial: Whitehouse Post
The magic of music...
Transport Accident Commission - 'Meet Graham'
Agency: Clemenger BBDO Melbourne
Production: Flare productions
Director: Drew Dunlop
A brilliant anticipation idea that gave birth to Graham, the only person designed to survive our roads. Such an outstanding way of thinking. Hats off!
