Singapore appoints Malik on Lux and Sunsilk

Heskett Transfers to JWT London

After five years as Southeast Asia Planning Director based in Singapore, Pete Heskett is moving back to the UK to take on a global planning role on Unilever with JWT London.

Pete joined JWT in 2008, and held global planning responsibilities on Unilever brands Lux and Radiant, based in Singapore.  He spent eight years in Asia, including a three year stint in Shanghai as the head of planning at BBH China.

“I’m sad to say goodbye to this wonderful region of the world after eight years of fantastic experience here. However, for me and my family this is a life decision – they say that ‘home is where the heart is’ and clearly the lure of fish and chips, constant drizzle, and being able to watch football matches at a more convenient time are too much to resist,” says Heskett.

Heskett will continue to handle global duties for Radiant as part of his new role in London.

JWT has appointed Atika Malik to the new role of Global Planning Director for Lux, and Regional Planning Director on the Sunsilk account, based in Singapore.

Malik joins the team in Singapore from JWT Delhi, where she served most recently as Senior Vice President and Executive Planning Director for the agency.   She has over 19 years’ experience developing brand solutions and brand ideas across a vast range of categories and consumers.  She has worked on brands like Pepsi, Frito Lay, Nestle ,Nokia, Yum Foods, Sony, Bharti Walmart amongst others.

Atika has worked with JWT for nine years.   She also helped co-create STAR, a unique small town and rural consumer research database, with IMRB, a WPP research agency. She has a degree in Economics and a specialization in Mass Communications.

“ It’s exciting to be a part of a team that is developing innovative brand solutions for powerful brands with tremendous equity like Lux and Sunsilk,” said Atika. “ To help create brand new  experiences and engagement for millions of consumers whose lives they touch. And building ideas that makes them even more loved and valued.”
