Here’s What Happened at The Immortal Awards London Showcase 2023
It was a night of celebration as The Immortal Awards kicked off this year’s global showcase tour in London on Wednesday night, returning to a sold out Ham Yard as the 2022 winners reel got its first showing.
The nine Commendation and four Immortal projects were shown in all their glory on the big screen, with the UK based winners honoured on the night as they picked up their prizes.
There were two UK Immortal winning projects. Firstly, Burberry’s Open Spaces saw trophies handed to Riff Raff, The Mill and 750mph, who were the night’s only double-winners. Then adam&eveDDB and Radford Music collected their prize for CALM x ITV’s The Last Photo.
Bodyform’s #periodsomnia was the sole UK Commendation this year, earning a prize for AMV BBDO, Somesuch, Time Based Arts, 750mph and Trim.
O Positive were also in attendance to collect the Immortal awarded to their US office’s film Detectives, for Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro.
The night was also an exciting opportunity for The Immortal Awards to introduce Emma Wilkie to the UK audience. Having joined the team at the end of November, Emma will work alongside co-awards director Paul Monan in running the show as it enters its sixth year of competition.
The team have big plans for the Immortals and, having debuted the 2022 winners reel in London, will now embark on a global tour in an attempt to inspire creative crews the world over.
