Daniel Kleinman and Leo Burnett London head back to the Tudor era, Horrible Histories style

The latest ad for Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut breaks today. Created by Leo Burnett and directed by, Daniel Kleinman, the ad is the fifth instalment of the brand’s ‘The trouble is they taste too good’ campaign.

This episode of the campaign finds our familiar duo as servants carrying sustenance for an impressive hunting party, headed up by the infamous Henry VIII.  The King spots a stag amongst the trees and brings the party to a halt.  Absolute silence is demanded as Henry takes his aim.  But Crunchy Nut proves more irresistible than ever before, and the unmistakable crunch distracts the formidable King and as he misses his shot our protagonists are in jeopardy again.

The 30-second TV commercial will break across the UK on 3rd February, together with a 40 second version online. The commercial will be supported by a social campaign developed by Isobar.

Directed by Daniel Klienman of Rattling Stick, the ad was written and art directed by the Leo Burnett team, Ed Morris & Andy Drugan.  Creative Directors: Tony Malcolm & Guy Moore. ECD: Justin Tindall.
