Branding veteran Helen Westropp returns to the City of London this month joining brand consultancy Industry as a director.
She started her career with the City financial consultancy Dewe Rogerson and then Hill Murray in the 1980s, was European Director of Landor Associates for four years and was most recently Global Business Director for corporate branding at Coley Porter Bell.
Helen, who is bi-lingual in French and English, has been responsible for re-branding many international businesses over the last 30 years. Her clients include Zurich Insurance, UBS, France Telecom, Philips, Coutts, Deloitte, Amex, Visa, Slaughter & May, Optegra and Grosvenor Estates.
At Industry Helen Westropp will contribute to the direction and growth of the consultancy and take the lead on a number of new client assignments.
Talking about the development of the branding industry over the last three decades, she said: ‘When I joined Landor Associates at the end of the 1980s, branding was a newish industry with just a few design houses dominating the domestic and international branding scene. The brand discipline has evolved hugely. Branding is now much better understood in the boardroom as a strategic discipline with its power to catalyse organisational transformation and create value.’
‘When the chance came for me to return to the City of London and join Industry after years in the West End and abroad, I was excited at the opportunity of being part of such creative and forward-looking team,’ she adds.
Industry partner Sholto said: ‘Helen’s appointment is a key hire for Industry and reflects our commitment to building a strong and highly experienced international team.’
