Coral Garvey leaves Silver&Partners to take new role

Havas WW New York Appoints Head of Art

Havas Worldwide has announced the addition of Coral Garvey as Head of Art for the New York office. In her new role, Coral will collaborate with senior leadership across the agency's portfolio to ensure Havas' creative offering is best in class.

At Havas, Garvey will report to Jason Musante, Managing Director and Group ECD of Havas Worldwide New York. "From her Cannes Grand Prix winning campaign for Diesel, to her industry defining design for Apple, Coral’s work speaks for itself,” said Musante. “Simply put, she is one of the best in the business and we couldn’t be happier that she’s joining the team.”

Previously, Garvey served as Design Director at Silver&Partners and throughout her career, has worked with marque brands such as Kate Spade, Nike, Motorola, Ben and Jerry’s, Samsung, Coca-Cola, Sephora, Levis, adidas, Carrera sunglasses and Google. Garvey was also one of Anomaly New York's first creative hires, working across numerous clients to ultimately play an instrumental in the agency’s phenomenal growth. Her career highlights include serving as lead designer on the Converse brand re-launch and Cannes Grand Prix winning “Be Stupid” campaign for Diesel. In addition, Garvey helped to re-launch Umbro and served as head designer on the re-branding of Cole Haan in association with Nike. Garvey got her start as a Designer at Apple where she focused on packaging design. There, she was a key member on the team that launched the iPhone and MacBook Air.

"I'm thrilled to be joining a team that truly practices integrating and collaborating across all creative efforts," said Garvey. "With Havas' understanding that creativity needs to be carried through from conception to implementation, I'm confident that this is the right place for me and that together can develop new and innovative techniques for our clients across the board."

Garvey graduated from Pratt with a BFA and is an adjunct professor at the school. She’s currently launching her own leather accessories line called “Garvey” which has already received praise from fashion industry insiders.
