Following a competitive pitch that began in the second quarter of 2019 and included Mediacom (GroupM) and Vizeum (Dentsu Aegis Network), Havas Media has been awarded the media business in Europe for Meetic Group, the French online dating network.
Céline Boudière, CMO of Meetic Group said: "We have been working with the Havas Media teams on some of our brands in Europe for the past two years now, and we are delighted to continue this adventure together on a larger scale! By choosing Havas Media, our objective is to build a global, effective, and coherent media strategy, while relying on their local experts to ensure the right execution.”
Laurent Broca, CEO of Havas Media France said: “I am proud of the renewed confidence in the Havas teams to promote these iconic brands in the region. With this new contract, Meetic renews for the second time its confidence in the expertise of Havas Media France, a collaboration that started in 2018.”
In addition to France and Italy, where the agency already handled the media business, Havas Media will now extend its support to all the countries where Meetic Group operates (France, UK, Spain, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden), said Thierry Joly, managing director of Havas International.
Havas Media’s scope will cover strategic support, all-media consulting, and offline media buying.
In 2018, MEETIC's billings in Europe was estimated at 190 million gross in Europe.
