Havas Media Group Announces Sarah Ivey as Chief Strategy Officer, North America

Today, Havas Media Group (HMG) announces Sarah Ivey as its new chief strategy officer, North America. Her appointment comes as part of the acceleration of the group’s overall growth strategy in North America and on the heels of former chief strategy officer, North America Meghan Grant stepping into the elevated position of president of Havas Media Group US and chief client experience officer for North America last month. Based in Toronto, Sarah will report directly to HMG North America CEO Greg Walsh and serve on the agency’s North American executive leadership team.  

“With her extensive global expertise and client-first strategic thinking, we’re thrilled to have Sarah join our North America leadership team as we continue to refine our agency’s client focus, product, and offering,” said Greg. “I look forward to partnering more closely with Sarah as we work to further our mission of making a meaningful difference to brands, businesses, and consumers.”  

Sarah spent four years consulting with HMG, working with the Global team on the agency’s unique Mx, or Media Experience, system. She also consulted on key growth opportunities, working on high-profile pitches such as Hyundai Kia, and Facebook.  

Most recently, Sarah served as founder and head strategist for agents of Necessity, a global strategy agency dedicated to the voice of the consumer, which provided companies with creative strategy development, go-to-market comprehensive planning, communication plan guidance, and more. With more than 25 years on the agency side that span all categories, Sarah previously served as global chief strategy officer for Initiative, part of the Interpublic Group (IPG), where she worked with top brands including Mars, Unilever, and Amazon, among others.  

“Having been in this industry for some time, I wholeheartedly believe that working with people who believe in what they do matters most. That’s why I’m so thrilled to officially become part of Havas Media Group,” said Sarah. “The team has an ambitious agenda, and I look forward to seeing how we can come to the table with exciting, innovative work that continues to move the needle for our clients.”

Sarah begins her new role immediately.
