Creative agency Havas London has promoted business director Megan Armitage to the role of head of account management. She will report into MD Jennifer Black.
Armitage joined the agency from M&C Saatchi in August 2019 and heads up its flagship Heathrow and Department for Education accounts – overseeing the launch of the latter’s post-GCSE technical qualification, T Levels, and the latest phase of its successful 'Every Lesson Shapes a Life' teacher recruitment campaign.
Her previous roles include senior account director at Anomaly New York, where she led the Budweiser account, senior account director at WCRS across clients including B&Q and Sky, and account director at AMV BBDO, where she began her career.
Jennifer Black, MD at Havas London, says: “Our ethos at Havas is very much to nurture and develop our talent and to promote from within, so we’re thrilled to welcome Megan into her first leadership role. She’s already shown she can lead a team brilliantly – she has the respect of everyone and is a passionate advocate of raising others up – as well as being quick to muck in and get her hands dirty in the pursuit of making the best work we possibly can. I can’t wait to see her flourish in such a key role.”
Armitage adds: “I couldn’t be happier to take on this role here at Havas – especially at such a challenging and exciting time for our industry. Throughout my career I’ve always nurtured and guided my teams – so I’m thrilled to be able to do this for the whole department. I’m excited to be part of the team pushing the creative output here and I believe that an excellent account management department is crucial to that”
