Chloe Sevigny stars in “The Beckoning”, the latest film in the SSENSE’s series of shorts which bring film, music and fashion together. The haunting piece, directed by Maryam L’Ange, features music from Eaux and was edited at Work by Anne Perri. 

Chloe Sevigny plays a tormented figure in the beautifully shot 9-minute film.  Haunted by intimate memories of Madeleine, a past lover, she patiently waits to be picked up from her residence from Jack – who never shows. 

The film ends as Sevigny leaves the residence and finds a baby left alone outside the front of the house. 

Set in a dimly lit mansion, the dark film is built upon a suspenseful atmosphere, which has been edited to create a noir-inspired final cut.
