Harbour, the independent communications collective, have hired Sara Barqawi from M&C Saatchi to bolster their strategic function as they continue to expand their offering for new and existing clients.
She will report into Harbour’s strategy partner, Kevin Chesters, who she previously worked for at Ogilvy. He said “Sarah is a very rare breed of strategist and will be a brilliant partner. Smart, funny, challenging and original. Anyone who knows Sara knows what a find she is. I’m pinching myself we got her, actually.”
Sara added: “Loads of companies are currently saying that they’re doing things differently. Harbour seem to just be quietly getting on with actually doing it differently. And clients seem to like it”
Barqawi will work across a range of Harbour’s clients but will focus initially on helping deliver through-the-line campaigns for McCarthy & Stone and John Lewis Finance. Harbour, originally set up by Paul Hammersley in 2017, has won projects for Costa Coffee, The Gym Group, John Lewis Finance, Thortful.com and McCarthy & Stone in recent months, and expanded the collective with the addition of Curious, Unit 9 and Soundtree so far in 2020.
