Gyro, the global ideas shop, has appointed Steve Mawhinney as Creative Director of its San Francisco office.
Mawhinney has spent more than 20 years across a wide variety of countries, categories and disciplines. He brings with him a proven ability to activate brands across all relevant platforms including digital, experiential and social. He joins gyro from AKQA where he worked on Visa and Verizon.
Mawhinney has a solid history of working with top shops including McCann Worldwide, TBWA and JWT creating work for global iconic brands like Adidas, Sony and Subway – to name a few.
A global thinker, he has lived in Northern Ireland, London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Paris and now the United States.
