Director Guy Manwaring is the latest addition to Merman’s exciting advertising, branded content and long form roster in both the UK and the US.
He’s a man who needs little introduction to the advertising industry and brings with him a wealth of experience adding weight to Merman’s commercial offering. Having started out as a creative with the Leith Agency London and subsequently St Luke’s, his directing career has been nothing short of illustrious.
With an impressive portfolio and a keen eye for performance Guy has gone on to work across a plethora of blue-chip brands including the likes of Amazon, Just Eat, Specsavers, Warburtons, McDonald’s, Marks & Spencer and Halifax, picking up numerous awards in the process at Cannes, Kinsale and the British Arrows.
Spencer Dodd says “I’m thrilled that Guy has decided to join Merman. He has an infectious enthusiasm and excitement that he brings to all his work from visual storytelling to comedy. Not only is he one of the nicest men you’re likely to meet, he’s super talented with a proven track record at the highest level. The diversity of his work and ability to develop an idea means that he’s a perfect fit.”
Guy Manwaring says “The industry is changing so rapidly, and the range of output that Merman’s producing is really impressive. It’s unique to have a creative force like Sharon Horgan at the centre of a production company, and the opportunities that this attracts for the company and the directors on their roster is exciting. In the few weeks since joining, I’ve been attached to an exciting and brilliantly funny short film concept, an episodic branded content project and a number of TV commercials for both the US and the UK. With the news of Spencer Dodd coming on board as joint MD alongside Siobhan Murphy, as well as the recent announcement that Independent Talent Group have partnered with the company there’s some real momentum building and it feels like such an exciting time to be joining Merman.”
Siobhan Murphy says “My association with Guy goes way back to our time together at Therapy Films. I’ve always been struck by his irrepressible passion in his approach coupled with his natural creative instinct and have followed his career ever since. I couldn’t be happier to be working with him again now at Merman. Guy has the ability and desire to work across all the platforms we offer as a company. He’s certainly hit the ground running and just booked his first job with adam&eveDDB. I’m sure it will be the first of many”.view more - Hires, Wins & BusinessMerman London, Wed, 30 Oct 2019 14:08:54 GMT
