Irish activations agency, Guns or Knives, ROTHCO | Accenture Interactive, win Grand Prix Best Creative Execution and seventeen awards at APMC Stars
Over the last twenty-five years, the annual APMC Star awards, based out of Dublin, have rewarded and recognised best in class promotional marketing campaigns in Ireland and internationally.
On Friday night, activations agency Guns or Knives, ROTHCO | Accenture Interactive picked up an impressive seventeen awards – including Best Creative Execution for Click & Go’s ‘Click & Gone’ campaign and the Grand Prix for Samsung’s, ‘Song For the City’. The ‘Song For The City’ campaign for the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone saw the agency turn Dublin's Samuel Beckett Bridge into a giant playable harp. The bridge was linked to a real harp, played by harpist Aisling Ennis, via software that lit up cables of the bridge as she plucked each corresponding string. The process was demonstrated via the smartphone's screen. As well as the Grand Prix, the campaign picked up four gold awards.
The agency also picked up awards for work on Desperados, ‘BYOBEAT’ (2 x Silver) and ‘Tortured Thieves’ (Bronze), Click & Go’s ‘Click & Gone’ (3 x Gold, 1x Silver), Samsung’s ‘Unbox your phone’ (Silver), and Mytaxi ‘Hailo is now mytaxi’ (1 x Gold, 1 x Silver) ‘Bump the Grind’ (Bronze) ‘The Ride Calculator (Bronze)
