Greenpeace Canada has set its sights on the issue of plastic.
The charity has launched a series of powerful, visual print ads depicting sea animals with plastic straws extending from their mouths. The ads were created by Canadian agency Rethink.
“Businesses large and small need to rethink their plastic usage overall,” says Sarah King, head of oceans and plastics campaigns at Greenpeace Canada.
“Straws are a great way to start the conversation but all throwaway plastic, like lids, cups, containers, and packaging, is fuelling the plastic pollution crisis. We need to see companies innovating beyond plastic and truly reducing their massive plastic footprints on our blue planet and communities.”
