DraftFCB launched Sharpie in Brazil in 2011. The first phase of the campaign launched the concept Leave Your Mark and had the mission to “educate” the local consumer on all the possibilities they had to customize different objects. Before the arrival of Sharpie there where very few basic colors of markers in the Brazilian market and the consumer only used it to label CD’s and DVD’s. It was a very functional use and we wanted to open a whole world of artistic possibilities for them to let their imagination run free, showing all the colours and different surfaces they could customize.
This campaign is part of the second phase of Draftfcbs strategy, where they start to introduce to their target specific Sharpie Products, like the Ultra Fine and the Tank Markers.
