Great Guns' Laura Gregory To Speak in Tokyo

 

Following two highly successful creative seminars in Berlin and Los Angeles, Great Guns' Laura Gregory continues her mission to inform, inspire and encourage change within the industry through clients and agency creatives together in one room.
 
Partnering with Mccann Health (the worlds most creatively awarded health care communications agency, four years consecutively and recently recognized as Global Awards Network of the year) she has been invited to assemble a two day private show for Lilly Pharmaceuticals in Japan.
 
The brain child of Global Creative Director Jeremy Perrott of wanting a cultural shift towards improving the work in healthcare,elevating the standards, inspiring different and fresher thinking through innovation and the unexpected approach to solving solutions.
He believes there is a parallel to the industry of entertainment (film, games, TV) to what we do in the advertising, communications and marketing world.
 
"We are very similar in what we do but they just seem to have done it so much better..so there is a world of wealth to be gained to be learned to be inspired for us, from those who do it so well," says Perrott enthusiastically.
 
He approached Great Guns' Laura Gregory with the idea of bringing the best and most accomplished creative minds in film, TV, gaming, blogging, viral and storytelling from Hollywood, Europe and Asia to a forum of young maverick creatives - the future creative directors - and then invite his clients' best maverick future brand managers, business leaders as one combined audience. Then expose them to the journeys and philosophy of those who have accomplished greatness.
 
"Laura has the experience,the knowledge,the maturity and understands the vision we have...she and her global brand are for ever evolving their business and model to challenge the market with better and best talent. I wanted that in a partner who could and has pushed us creatively to be the leaders we are now. 'Be Inspired Create Change' is the theme that challenged the agency and clients. It makes sense to involve,collaborate and act as one when we are all trying to do one thing. Be leaders," says Perrott.
 
"We can't expect to have any impact on our clients businesses if we don't share and involve them in our vision and goals,which after all are there to ultimately build their business improve their product and give them market edge," he says.

But engage me,and I will never forget..." A quote from Great Guns premier pilot director David Nutter, Hollywoods king of success shows such as Soppranos,Game of Thrones among many others,at last years highly successful LA conference. That quote said it all for me," says Perrott.
 
"So we make the whole audience accountable for where we go from here. With the inspiration and experiences of this amazing line up of creative visionaries, the audience is totally in tune with the challenge and already results have shown in new business, in awards, in cultural shift and that's a huge step in any industry. Now think of that impact in the highly regulated and to a point but already softening conservative pharma and health domain. Incredible...and we just got started"
 
With this formula in place, Gregory has assembled a brilliant list of speakers that reach from Japanese international fashion photographers,Japans Woman of the year and Industry leader in Cosmetics and innovation, to India's best in film and story telling, UK's maverick aficionado in gaming and integrated comms..to street artist and installations guru from LA and enviro photographer who's blog on the arctic melt has the world watching through over a hundred cameras.
 
This is part of the show, Perrott has created for Lilly under the theme "Rise Above-easy to say no, harder to say yes".
 
We were challenged by the client instigate a shift a cultural change in its managers and brand leaders that would cause measured engagement and connection to their consumers and brands.
 
To do this we need to inspire and motivate the core to see how, when you think and see situations,even your every day routine differently, what all others see and act upon as the same,to stop thinking like the mass and look beyond the problem,see the problem as the gate way to a creative challenge and surprising solution.
 
It easy to say "no" to anything out side the norm,to do what everyone else does.
You don't get fired for being safe. But you never go beyond your ability.
 
But if you say "yes"...and then embark on the journey...you will stretch yourself,expand your horizons...open doors and become the first,the originator....the leader.
 
If you don't try,and don't fail you never learn,you never know what you can do or achieve.
These speakers all have worked against the attitude of someone saying "no you can't do that...its impossible,for get it no one will like it etc".
 
Its their journeys and philosophy of creating brilliant solutions, be it in business or the creative industry of entertainment or marketing that will set this room afire.
"Work with the best to be the best," says Perrott.
 
"Its working," he concludes, with a smile.
