Agency will use its proprietary AI media-buying approach to help the brand reach its business goals

Great Clips Selects The Tombras Group as Media AOR
Great Clips, a Minneapolis-based hair salon franchise brand, has hired The Tombras as its media agency of record following a six-month competitive review. With more than 4,350 locations across the US and Canada, Great Clips is the largest franchise salon business in the world.

The outcome of the review, which was led by Ark Advisors, means Tombras is responsible for comprehensive planning and buying across a range of integrated media, including TV, radio, digital, social, search, programmatic and OOH. In addition, Tombras will utilise proprietary, AI media buying to optimise its media mix. The approach builds sophisticated lookalike audiences that helps optimise customer acquisition – to target the ideal customers and drive traffic.

“What impressed us most about Tombras was their deep franchise experience as well as their fact-based, data driven approach to drive measurable growth and build our brand,” said Lisa Hake, VP marketing and communications at Great Clips. “Tombras is using leading-edge approaches to optimise media buying and we’re excited to work with their team to drive results for our franchisees.”

Dooley Tombras, president of The Tombras Group, added: “Great Clips presented us with a unique opportunity to connect data and creativity to drive their business growth. It’s exciting as an agency to partner with an already successful category leader.  We see an immediate opportunity to accelerate Great Clips traffic and sales growth with a data led media approach."
