Gravity Media’s Head of Post Production Fiona Burton Attends the First Rise ‘Women in Broadcast’ Retreat

Over the weekend, Fiona Burton, Gravity Media’s head of post production in the UK attended the first ever Rise – Women in Broadcast Retreat held in Lancaster. The 2020 Mentoring cohort was not able to meet in person at any point during the scheme and it was for this reason the retreat was such an important date in this year’s calendar. 

Fiona explained how inspiring it was to meet such a wide number of mentees and learn about how many of them have been able to secure promotions and gain confidence to reach for their dream job. 

"The retreat was a wonderful weekend focusing on women in broadcast allowing people to meet in real life and forge new friendships. Huge thanks to Rise’s fantastic leader Carrie Wootten for organising the weekend, Marina Kalkanis from M2S Media for sponsoring this fantastic initiative, and Michelle Parry for the amazing location. It’s great to so many talented expert women doing such inspiring things in our industry," says Fiona.
